I've got a gigantic update today. Also be sure you check out the new layout here at
karmacoded. ♥ It features my favorite three shrines at the top~

First off a new domain layout, finally! That Persona 4 one lasted quite a while, didn't it? ...Actually, there are two new domain layouts. There's a larger, more graphics-intensive one featuring my characters from
vastlands, first off. It's very wide, so your screen is going to have to be more than 1100px wide if you want to avoid the sidescroll. But it's got lots of stuff to read through, I guess, and it's definitely more ... shiny? XD
The second layout is a one-page, simple layout featuring my beloved Kyoya Ootori. It's teeny, so any resolution should be fine. There's a bit of exclusive info on that layout, too, though, so you really should check out both if you want the full Fated.nu experience. ;DD
I also have a slew of new affiliates, so do be sure you check 'em all out, though a number of them are sadly on hiatus. ):
NEW SHRINES:
Most of my friends know about these already but I wanted to wait until the domain layout was up before plugging these, that's why I'm only now updating this journal about these. Both new shrines are pretty text-intensive and have no media. ;x
- A Crow Left of Murder: my new shrine to Rei Kashino of the psychological shoujo manga, MARS. It's very heavy and the organization is a little different than people may be used to, but I thought this would be more effective considering the character, so there you have it.
- Bones: my new shrine to Luke fon Fabre from the game (and now anime) Tales of the Abyss. Very very heavy in the essay department. I figured it was about time Luke had a proper tribute because pretty much every other Abyss character has one. ;__; I've been working on this for months, but finally finished a couple days ago.
OTHER SITE UPDATES:
- Furtivus got a huge update. I elaborated on a great number of the Queen of Vanity pages to clarify certain things or add on where I thought things weren't explained well. There was a little added to the real Arima and the Asaba and Tsubasa pages were also heavily edited because I felt that I hadn't gone into enough detail there. Upcoming: I'll be analyzing his relationship with his mother a bit more, as well as the song "Lemon Tree" by Fool's Garden, which is kind of important to understanding Arima and I overlooked it. D:
- Prince is going to be on an extended hiatus. :| Yuu Watase recently decided to put the series off until spring of 2010. Since there's nothing I can update the shrine with until then, well. The site will be (involuntarily) 100% static until then, unfortunately. There may be a fanbook released this summer that I can buy/scan, but we'll have to see.
- Munich was featured at
arainymonday! I added a link and the little button to the front page, accordingly. I've been in the midst of a rather large revamp for this shrine. Most of the textual content will remain unchanged except for some elaborations or revisions where necessary, but there will be a new layout and a gallery with 44 scans from the "Animation Fanbook" that came out a while back (yay for eBay). I tore my book up in order to scan it, so the scans came out really nicely. Look forward to the new and improved Munich soon! It'll be moving back to Ootori.org, where it was back in 2007-ish, so yay. :D
UPCOMING:
- I've scrapped my Naoto (Persona 4) shrine in favor of a Kanji shrine, which will be up after I complete my second playthrough of the game.
- I'll be shrining Basch from Final Fantasy XII in the very near future. Possibly Balthier as well, but let's not get too ambitious here.
- I will also be shrining Arren from the Studio Ghibli movie Tales from Earthsea. SPECIFICALLY THE MOVIE VERSION OF THE CHARACTER RIGHT NOW. I have not read the books, so I can't say whether or not I'll be using the book canon on the shrine, as well, or not. We'll see.
- I am planning a shrine to Johan Liebert from MONSTER (no thanks to Ren 8|) but it will likely not be done until the summer because it's so ... intense, haha. There's a lot of things to analyze and consider. But look forawrd to it!

Date: 2009-03-28 06:13 am (UTC)Anyways, the site is amazing, completely amazing. I was wondering, though. Would you like to bump up from link-exchange to affiliate? Let me know.

Date: 2009-03-28 06:25 am (UTC)...you're already an affiliate, though. ^^; Well, sort of. My main affiliates are the people that I've known a while or talk to quite a bit, but you're still technically an affiliate, listed under "friends". You asked me to affiliate a few months ago...

Date: 2009-03-28 03:02 pm (UTC)...What's happening with Rydia? Are you still doing that project?
no subject
Date: 2009-03-28 05:39 pm (UTC)Hmm. I feel like I didn't do my best on my Judith shrine and since we returned the game (Vesperia was really a disappointing game...) I will probably never finish the shrine, either. D:
Oh, that reminds me that I forgot to put the tiny icon on the simple page, haha.
I'm still doing Rydia, she's just not an immediate project (like Basch) because I have to finish replaying Final Fantasy IV and take lots of notes. XD My brother seems to have misplaced my game, too...

Date: 2009-03-28 02:56 pm (UTC)I'm really glad to see you did Luke. Like 20 people promised threads when it first came out and 90% never pulled through. He needed a shrine.
no subject
Date: 2009-03-28 05:42 pm (UTC)He was really difficult, and I guess a lot of people didn't like him very much for various reasons. I had a bunch of people tell me that they were only looking forward to the shrine because they wanted to see me explain why they shouldn't hate him. XD;;;

Date: 2009-03-28 03:34 pm (UTC)Also, your Rei shrine looks awesome (Idk if I told you it before or not, oh well repeat time!). I love they typography you did *_*.
ps. waiting to see how your Basch shrine will turn out!

Date: 2009-03-28 05:43 pm (UTC)Thank you~! That was really going out of my comfort zone for me, but I'm glad that it paid off.
♥ Basch will be fun, I think, once I finish my current playthrough of the game. :3

Date: 2009-03-28 04:06 pm (UTC)I cannot wait for your FFXII shrines! Especially Basch since I don't find much shrines for him. (:
